Vezet Group gives packaging lines a second life through 'smart technical solutions'

Tentego started looking for more bagging capacity last year.
It was uncertain whether a second line would fit.
In the end, the Vezet Group turned out to be the party that could best realize Tentego’s plans.
“Just the plan alone, in which the palletizer stands, as it were, between the two bagging lines, cost us headaches. But that is precisely what we are good at: using puzzle pieces to make the impossible possible,” said Niels Claassen.
Vezet Group (VG) can offer sophisticated smart technical solutions thanks to its many years of experience in packaging in the feed and food industry. Because the company is not tied to particular brands, this is done on an “independent basis.
VG’s specialists clearly approach a customer’s problem differently from what is generally accepted.
If a customer’s packaging line has insufficient capacity, the equipment is defective or the technology is outdated, the customer will generally first consider purchasing new equipment.

Plenty of possibilities

Niels explains that the possibilities with VG’s principles are many.
“As experts, we first look at the customer’s situation, talk through the requirements, look at the options available and come up with a suitable proposal. In this investigation, it is essential for us that, in addition to our younger employees, we also have a number of ‘old hands’ with a lot of experience in our company. Wonderful to see how the somewhat older generation transfers knowledge to the younger ones.”

Niels Claassen admits that Tentego’s requirements were high.
“The plan alone, in which the palletizing installation stands, as it were, between the two bagging lines, cost us headaches. But that is precisely what we are good at: using puzzle pieces to make the impossible possible. Partly due to Tentego’s flexibility, we succeeded. Everything was completed by the end of November.”

Refurbishment installations & Refurbished machines

VG has a different take on this: renovation of existing installations.
Frequently, VG has the machine or packaging line you are looking for in stock.
If not, the buyers search their (international) network for the right match.
If the equipment is available, then it is overhauled and optimized at the customer’s site or at the company in Eersel, adapted as desired and modernized to meet today’s requirements.
A smart solution that offers many advantages.

Tentego

Tentego began looking for more bagging capacity last year.
It was uncertain whether a second line would fit.
In the end, the Vezet Group turned out to be the party that could best realize Tentego’s plans.
“Just the
plan, in which the palletizing installation stands, as it were, between the two bagging lines, cost us headaches.
But that is precisely what we are good at: using puzzle pieces to make the impossible possible,” said Niels Claassen.

Good solution in small space

Tentego started looking for more bagging capacity last year, as growing sales at a sister company meant that production and bagging capacity was becoming too small. The decision was made to increase packaging in Mijdrecht. The number of bags of milk powder to be processed in Mijdrecht needed to grow significantly. For Tentego, this meant that a second bagging line became necessary in addition to the existing bagging line. Only limited space was available for this. The packaging hall already contained a bagging installation and a palletizing installation. Wilbert: “Although at first we were not entirely sure whether a second line would fit, together with my colleagues I drew up a logistical plan to accommodate the increase in capacity. We then approached various suppliers, but found in Niels Claassen’s company the party that could best realize our plans. And with success.”

Overhaul of mechanics and controls

“Because we can almost always offer a renovated installation, the level of investment for the customer is always lower,” Niels says.
This level can be half of the new price, but sometimes lower.
The offer generally includes delivery, modification, refurbishment and transport to the customer.
The overhaul is comprehensive, including the mechanical part, but also the electrical/control part.
It is precisely by refining and modernizing the control part that great strides can be made with regard to capacity and functionality.

Niels: “Over the years, IT has developed significantly and we reap the benefits of that. With regularity, it is also surprising to ourselves what improvements the modifications lead to.”
By the way, regarding the guarantee of proper operation, this can always be provided with a deadline determined in consultation with the customer.
Finally, delivery times are relatively short at VG, even in this time of boom.
Niels: “It is a sustainable aim that we can offer existing machines a second life. This thought is increasingly appreciated by our customers. We are happy that we can also make an important contribution to the environment.”
